ECG Namibia, Zimbabwe and Botswana youths are on their way to participate in the fun filled, first ever Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) church Youth Festival.
Most branches from in and around Gauteng have arrived, including; Durban, Witbank, Krugersdorp and the different Campus Youth Ministries. Scores of people are still coming in.
Khavisa Gayisa from the Soshanguve Campus Ministry was beside herself with excitement: “I’m here to have fun, I especially can’t wait for the musical acts that are lined up for us,” she said
The Miracle ground (an overflow of the miracle tent) is awash with activity. Trampolines, arcade games and many others have been set up, ready for the participants.
The atmosphere is electrifying with excited Youths, going up and down, marvelling at the many different things to do.
The Campus Ministry Leader, Ashley said, ” there are so many things to do, boredom is not an option. There is going to be a game of tug of war, airhockey and even chess.”
Mr JC Semenya, a security at Tshwane guard confirmed that many youths started arriving from as early as 06:00 am while some slept at the venue after the Friday night service and continued to flock in as if the gates have just been opened.
Winnie Tshirengwana, the Youth Magnets coordinator said, “I’m happy with the numbers and the way everything has been progressing.”
The Prophet and the Prophetess are expected to arrive soon and join the Youth Magnates for the rest of the day.
