Several people gathered on Saturday from different corners of the world for the The International Day of the Tribe of Gad.

They braved the cold weather and the recent xenophobic activities that have seen the nation of South Africa experiencing gruesome and ungodly actions .

ECG News has learnt that some branches like Cape Town arrived in the wee hours of the morning and more than 60 branches have registered.

Clifford Resandt, the Leader of the Tribe was at the venue and said he was happy with the way registration was progressing, “Our aim is to empower all the Gadites and to make sure that their vision is aligned with the tribe’s vision which is the vision of Prophet Shepherd Bushiri,” he said

Resandt also mentioned that he hopes that by the time they go back to their respective branches, they will be acquainted with each other and the procedures to follow for easy flow of communication and also to understand how to be responsible for the church as Gadites and the community at large,” he said

Munkanda Cosmas, the leader of Gad Namibia reiterated Mr Clifford’s message, “l hope communication between the branches and headoffice will be addressed, that’s our main challenge as Gad Namibia,” he said

The program was jam packed with health and safety talk, book review, code of conduct and performances by top ECG acts including Swazi Dlamini and Keke, both award wining gospel artists.

The Gad tribe consists of stewards in the Marshal, Ushering and Protocol department. They are a part of the 12 tribes at Prophet Bushiri’s ECG church.
